Writer R.A. Chin was born and raised in South London. He has interests in English language, literature, science and is a musician. He undertook a creative writing course with Writer’s News Home Study Division, guided by John O’Toole. R.A Chin won a Highly Commended Koestler Arts Award, in 2020, for longer fiction and novel. He has been assisted by the Arkbound Foundation with mentoring by Jim Dempsey, a professional editor with Novel Gazing, and has received advice on creative writing from Amita Murray. R.A. Chin has experience of high security institutions, particularly those that deal with mental health in the UK. R.A. Chin is also a member of The Society of Authors. He is author of the novel Idle Among Infamy and the anthology: Life Ain’t Pretty, which includes titles such as For Bike Sakes, Deliverance, and Jailhouse Jihads, among others.
